A motor vehicle internal light comprises a housing of resin of low heat resistance such as polypropylene (1) and an outer wall (1a) near an incandescent lamp (7) in the housing. A lamp holder (5) is of heat-resistant resin and a heat-shielding wall (5a) between the wall surface (1a) and lamp is integrated with the lamp holder. An independent claim is also included for a thermally insulating structure for a motor vehicle light as above.
