The system has electrical connecting units (20) for electrical connection of insulating boards (10). A heating foil is attached at a layer of an insulating material (16) of one of the boards. Copper foils run along its longitudinal edges in such a manner that the foils are spaced from each other. One of the units has conducting adhesives (21) that are spaced from each other, where each adhesive is electrically connected with the foils. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a connecting unit for use in a surface heating system (2) an insulating board for use in a surface heating system.
