<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the effect of tailing in incoming burst light signal reception in a station communication device, and to prevent a trouble, where the abnormal continuous luminous output of a subscriber premises communication device affects other subscriber premises communication devices. <P>SOLUTION: A station communication device OLT monitors a light reception level from each subscriber premises communication device ONU by a reception level monitor 1-15, and transmits an instruction signal for increasing or decreasing the amplitude of the incoming burst light signal to each subscriber premises communication device ONU by a light output instruction signal transmitter 1-16 to set the light reception level to a fixed range. Each subscriber premises communication device ONU extracts the instruction signal by a light output instruction signal extractor 1-27. A light output control unit 1-28 follows the instruction signal, and controls a light output setting section 1-22 so that the amplitude of the incoming burst light signal is increased or decreased.
