<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus designed such that the need to add power sources or provide large capacity power sources in advance is eliminated when option functions are added, and the addition of the option functions is possible even if they exceed the upper limit of a power source rating. <P>SOLUTION: When any of the option functions is operated, an auxiliary power source is used.
