PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device capable of preventing slip drop and breakage of a magnet and of executing a stable switching operation even in temperature fluctuation or the like. SOLUTION: This switch device is provided with: the magnet 9 and a magneto-electric conversion element 6 arranged oppositely to each other; an operation member 2 displaceable by an pressing operation; and a holder member 7 having the magnet 9 or the magneto-electric conversion element 6 housed therein and movable with displacement of the operation member 2; and is so structured that the output signal of the magneto-electric conversion element 6 is changed over by displacement of a relative position of the magnet 9 with respect to the magneto-electric conversion element 6 with the movement of the holder member 7. In the switch device, a reception member coming into contact with the holder member 7 to stop its movement is provided; the front surface of the holder member 7 in the moving direction comprises an area 22 overlapping with an end face of the magnet 9 or the magneto-electric conversion element 6 and an area 23 without overlapping with them; and projecting parts 19 are formed in the area 23 without overlapping with them and/or an area of the reception member in contact with it.
