<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent device excellent in blue color purity and light emission efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The invention comprises a substrate, first and second electrodes formed on the substrate, and a light emitting layer formed between the first and second electrodes. The light emitting layer is formed of a plurality of substances. A blue color light emitting substance uses chemical formula 1 as a dopant.
