PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a pipe line capable of efficiently and continuously constructing the pipe line of the required length by transferring to a shielding method when jacking of a pipe jacking method reaches a limit by simultaneously using the pipe jacking method and the shielding method. SOLUTION: A jacking pipe 3 is intruded in the ground by the pipe jacking method for excavating by a boring machine 1 by pressing the jacking pipe 3 by connecting the jacking pipe 3 to a deformed joint 6 incorporated with a pre-installation segment 7 of this shield cylinder unit 2 by arranging the shield cylinder unit 2 in the rear of the boring machine 1. When a limit is caused in thrust of the pipe jacking method, the pipe jacking method is stopped and switched to the shielding method, and a jacking jack 5 of the shield cylinder unit 2 is expandably operated, and the pipe line is constructed by using the installation segment 7 and a segment 7a on the tip of the jacking pipe 3 by an advance of the boring machine 1 and assembling of the segment 7a.
