PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of constructing a non-snow-dropping type snow melting roof, according to which snow accumulated on the roof is melted without a bother of dropping the same. SOLUTION: The method of constructing the non-snow-dropping type snow melting roof is implemented by providing roofing materials A and snow melting devices H. Each roofing material A is formed of a metallic roofing material B and a heating medium retaining sheet C. The metallic roofing material B has male-female joint structures formed on both lateral edges as upward erected snow stop portions P, and therefore an area defined by the snow stop portions P serves as a recessed groove portion 11. The heating medium retaining sheet C is formed on the groove portion 11. According to the method, the roofing materials A are secured to a substrateαsuch that the snow stop portions P are arranged almost in parallel with a ridge of the roof, and each snow melting device H is arranged along the snow stop portion P.
