LOCK-OUT FOR ACTIVATION ARM MECHANISM IN A POWER TOOL

A power tool (10), a nailer having a driver (32), a flywheel (250) and an activation arm (850) for selectively driving the driver (32) into contact with the flywheel to transfer energy therebetween to cause the driver (32) to translate. The power tool (10) includes a bar that may be moved so as to resist movement of the activation arm (850) in a direction that would bring the driver (32) into contact with the flywheel (250). A method for operating a power tool (10) is also provided.
