PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized liquid injection type battery having a structure capable of arranging a rod-shaped ample sideways so that its side face faces an inner bottom part of an external case. SOLUTION: The liquid injection type battery has the rod-shaped ample 9 containing electrolyte solution 8, a pair of lamination body surrounding the ample 9 and including power generation part 6, and a pair of spacers 14 in the bottomed cylinder-shaped external case 1.
