PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically provide an electromagnetic wave shield filter which has a predetermined electromagnetic wave shield performance, a good optical characteristic and an excellent durability. SOLUTION: A transparent electromagnetic wave shield filter 1 has a stopper layer 3, an adhesive layer 4, and a conductor layer 5 on a transparent substrate 2. The adhesive layer 4 is not formed in the opening of the conductor layer 5. In manufacturing the electromagnetic wave shield filter, a composite body is prepared in which the stopper layer 3, the adhesive layer 4 and the conductor layer 5 having the opening are formed on the transparent substrate 2, and in the composite body, the adhesive layer 4 is removed in the opening of the conductor layer 5.
