PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive disk apparatus capable of reducing power and achieving a low voltage supply. SOLUTION: This disk device is provided with an actuator 7 where a voice coil 10 is fixed to a head support arm having a tab 8 formed therein and the head support arm is rotated around horizontal and vertical rotation axes, a voice coil motor configured by disposing a magnet 11 fixed to an upper yoke 12 and a lower yoke 13 in both sides of the voice coil 10 to face each other, and a ramp part 14 for guiding the tab 8 and holding the tab 8 in a retreating position. When the actuator 7 of the retreating position executes a loading operation based on an operation start command, a pulselike driving current is applied to the voice coil 10 to press the tab 8 to the holding plane of the ramp part 14, and the tab 8 is efficiently removed from the retreating position by using a repulsion force generated in the actuator 7 to perform a loading operation.
