PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has high durability, suppresses image degradation such as a residual image due to rise of residual potential or deterioration of charging property, is not affected by an atmosphere of an oxidizing gas, and gives a high-quality image even after repeated use, and an an electrophotographic forming method, an electrophotographic apparatus and a process cartridge. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained by disposing a photosensitive layer 33 on a conductive support 31 and forming a protective layer 39 containing at least a specific hexabenzocoronene compound and fluorocarbon resin fine particles on the outermost surface of the photosensitive layer 33, wherein the content of the fluorocarbon resin fine particles is adjusted to 20-60% by volume fraction based on the entire protective layer.
