<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more simply duplex a single-core two-way optical transmission system. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmission/reception module 1 comprises: optical transmitter/receiver sub-assemblies 3a, 3b including light-emitting elements 8a, 8b and light-receiving elements 9a, 9b for making output optical signals LOa, LOb incident to optical fibers 4a, 4b and converting currents from the light-receiving elements 9a, 9b into output electrical signals; a driving circuit 6 connected between an external input terminal 13 and inputs of the optical transmitter/receiver sub-assemblies 3a, 3b; a switch SW1 including input terminals 16, 17 connected respectively to an output side of the optical transmitter/receiver sub-assemblies 3a, 3b and an output terminal 18 connected to a side of an external output terminal 14; a controller 7 which sends out a control signal for controlling changeover of the switch SW1; and pre-amplifiers 5a, 5b connected between outputs of the transmitter/receiver optical sub-assemblies 3a, 3b and the external output terminal 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
