<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a font, a form, a color profile, etc., from illegally being used by an unpermitted printer and to perform license management more in detail by managing licenses of the font, form, color profile, etc., by a server. <P>SOLUTION: The resource management system comprises: a PC which issues a print job; the authentication server; and the printer. The system requests the authentication server to issue a ticket where authentication information on a resource to be used is described before issuing the print job, and sends the issued ticket and the print job to the printer. The printer having received the ticket and print job inquires of the server whether the ticket is proper and whether the resource is permitted and executes the print job by using only a permitted resource. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
