PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an optimum combination of detection element and correction element, in a camera system in which a plurality of detection elements and a plurality of correction elements are used for an anti-vibration operation. SOLUTION: The camera system includes a camera body 200 and a photographic lens 100. The system controller 204 selects a shake detection sensor and a shake correction mechanism to be operated, from shake detection sensors and shake correction mechanisms provided for the camera system. The system controller 204 calculates an amount of shake correction from shake information detected by the selected detection sensor.
