PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear for picking up food in place of chopsticks, capable of helping simply eat food such as sushi, tempra, roast chickens, tofu foods and pastas to be quite convenient, being easily manufactured at a low cost, helping eat food with a loose form such as soup or boiled rice by spooning it, and provided with a convenient spoon. SOLUTION: The gear 1 for picking up food comprises right and left food holding parts 3 and 4 that are provided in the front of a gear main body 2 having a long and approximately U-shape in a plane view, for holding up both of right and left sides of the food 20 such as sushi, and provided with a plurality of anti-slip projections 5 on their facing sides. The main body 2 is integrally made of a synthetic resin. An upper edge of a U-shaped folding part 6 of the main body 2 is connected with a plate-shaped reinforcing wall part 7. In the gear 1 provided with the spoon, the rear end of the folding part 6 of the main body 2 is connected with the spoon part 10 of which a recess face 11 faces downward. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
