<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup element that has a pigment dispersed color filter corresponding to the trend of reducing the size of a pixel for an image sensor, and also, has performance of a thin and high-sensitivity color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup element is composed of at least pixels which comprise a plurality of light-receiving elements, and individual light-receiving elements and in which a color filter is provided on each of the light-receiving elements. The color filter has one color selected from among a plurality of colors for each pixel.
