PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type projection display apparatus preventing a color shift on a projection surface by obtaining the same size projected image of illumination light with a different wavelength region, after the illumination light is transmitted through wavelength-modulated filters with different wavelength characteristics. SOLUTION: The reflection type projection display apparatus is equipped with: a displaced lens 60 which is displaced to displacement positions 60G, 60B and 60R set for each wavelength region, so as to reduce the difference in the size of the projected image on the projection surface of the illumination light in each wavelength region, after being transmitted through filter parts 30G1, 30B, 30G2 and 30R; a displaced lens displacing means 61 which displaces the displaced lens 60 to the respective displacement positions 60G, 60B and 60R; and a control means 80 which controls a rotating means 31 and the displaced lens displacing means 61, so that the wavelength regions of the illumination light transmitted through the filter parts 30G1, 30B, 30G2 and 30R disposed in an optical path correspond to the displacement positions 60G, 60B and 60R of the displaced lens 60.
