PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump for lengthening the service life of a brush and a commutator by reducing discharge between the brush and the commutator. SOLUTION: A spring 60 pressing the brush 50 to the commutator 70 side, contacts with an inclined face 53 of the brush 50 in an end part on the brush 50 side. Inclining force to an intrusion side end part is added to the brush 50 by adding pressing force of the spring 60 to the inclined face 53 of the brush 50. Thus, the brush 50 inclines to the intrusion side, and sure contact between the brush 50 and the commutator 70 is secured on the intrusion side of the brush 50. Thus, spark discharge between the brush 50 and the commutator 70 is reduced. Thus, electric abrasion of the brush 50 and the commutator 70 is reduced, and the service life of the brush 50 and the commutator 70 is lengthened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
