PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing polymer beads, capable of producing the polymer beads having narrow particle size dispersion (having approximately uniform particle sizes) stably for a long period with high productivity. SOLUTION: This method for producing the polymer beads includes a process for forming droplets 40 of a monomer composition in a dispersing medium 41 by arranging the dispersing medium 41 on a side of one of surfaces of a porous plate 2 prepared from a metal plate 3 in such a manner that a titanium oxide coat layer 4 is formed on at least the one of the surfaces of the metal plate 3 into which many fine through holes 5 are bored, arranging the monomer composition 42 on a side of the other surface of the porous plate 2, and injecting the monomer composition 42 into the dispersing medium 41 arranged on an opposite side via the through holes 5 of the porous plate 2, and a process for obtaining the polymer beads by heating the dispersing medium 41 containing the droplets 40 and polymerizing the monomer composition.
