A method and a system for providing an automatic re-origination service are provided to enable a caller to attempt a call by performing an automatic call re-origination to a different phone number of a receiver even when the receiver can not receive the call through a specific phone number or does not receive the call within a predetermined time through the specific phone number if the caller originates the call after inputting or selecting the specific phone number of the receiver only one time, thereby removing inconvenience that the caller re-originates the call after additionally inputting or selecting the different phone number of the receiver. A method for providing an automatic re-origination service comprises the following steps of: receiving a speech request call to the first receiving terminal from an originating terminal(S210); checking whether the originating terminal is subscribed for the automatic re-origination service or not(S220); checking whether the speech request call can be transmitted to the first receiving terminal or not by checking the state information of the first receiving terminal if the originating terminal is subscribed for the automatic re-origination service(S230); and retransmitting the speech request call to a phone number of the second receiving terminal, one of plural phone numbers of a receiver, by checking the registration information for the automatic re-origination service of the originating terminal if the speech request call can not be transmitted to the first receiving terminal(S240).
