<p>Process for controlling the supply of liquid to a container (22), which is to be filled to a specified total volume at a specified nominal temperature, comprises determining the flow of liquid, preferably mixed water, and the mixing temperature of the liquid. When a specified total flow quantity is reached, the liquid supply is interrupted. Increasing or decreasing the mixing temperature ensures that on completion of the filling process the quantity of heat present in the total volume of the container at least approximately corresponds to the nominal quantity of heat produced by the specified total volume and the specified nominal temperature.
