A method for sharing images and a mobile terminal therefor are provided to transmit more vivid information by sharing an image together with a voice call in case it is difficult to exactly deliver information to the other party through voice only. In case of executing a multipoint call and image sharing between many terminals, the associated terminals open a voice channel. At this moment, a transport channel, in addition to the voice channel, is allocated and opened(S300). The users set their terminal modes to either a receiver mode or a sender mode(S301). A user of the sender-mode terminal selects either a frequency mode or an event mode to transmit image data(S302). In case the user of the sender-mode terminal selects the frequency mode, the sender-mode terminal captures image data, displayed on the display window, every event(S303). The sender-mode terminal compresses the captured image data(S304). The sender-mode terminal fits the compressed image data to the size of each of the other receiver-mode terminals(S305). Then, the sender-mode terminal sends the image data to the receiver-mode terminals every period(S306).
