The device is for the collection of drill waste when a hole is drilled and comprises a funnel-shaped holder (3) fixed on the wall beneath the hole to be drilled where this is then openly folded. This provides an adequate volume for catchment of drill waste as it falls from the drilling operation. Once the drilling operation is completed, the holder is removed from the wall and subjected to disposal. The arrangement of the holder on the wall and its ultimate removal enables an operator to have both hands free to concentrate on the drilling operation. A single or double-sided adhesive tape is used to adhere the holder to the wall. The rear side of the upper edge of the holder is provided with adhesive (1). At the location of the adhesive is a samll hole (2), which facilitates the centering of the holder around the hole to be drilled. The holder can be made of paper, cardboard, plastic, textile or a combination of such materials.
