An RF reader-typed mobile telephone is provided to easily securing arrangement space for installing RF reader function and directly control RF reader functions without adding complicated hardware to an existing mobile telephone by installing an RF reader which executes communication with a mobile telephone control part through an appointed bus and interworks with one or more external RF tags. A mobile telephone(100) comprises an RF processing part(115), a voice processing part(120), an LCD part(130), a memory part(125), a key input part(135), and a control part(105). The RF processing part(115) processes RF communication. The voice processing part(120) processes the input and output of voice/sound signals. The LCD part(130) outputs specific information or data. The memory part(125) stores and manages various data or information. The key input part(135) processes an appointed key input value. The control part(105) controls each of the components. Additionally the mobile telephone(100) comprises an RF reader(145). The RF reader(145) receives regular information or data from an RF tag. The control part(105), connected with the RF reader(145) through a data bus, reads the key data inputted through the key input part(135) and activates or inactivates the RF reader(145) according to a read result.
