A beta2 agonist prodrug having reduced side effects

A beta2 agonist prodrug which has reduced side effects, wherein a glucuronyl group is bonded to the beta2 agonist having a phenolic hydroxyl group. The side effects of the beta2 agonist are reduced by utilizing beta-glucoronidase which is an enzyme present in the target respiratory organs. The beta-glucoronidase has a high enzyme activity in respiratory organs in the normal state and a low enzyme activity in a cardiovascular system which is the site of side effects exhibited by the beta2 agonist.
