METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING SIGNAL IN MIMO SYSTEM

A signal transmitting/receiving method in a MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) system is provided to improve a data transmission speed and a data reception rate by transmitting a plurality of data streams by simultaneously forming STTDs and beamforming as making two antenna into a pair of antennas in case of using a plurality of antennas. A reception stage calculates SINRs(Signal-to-Interference Noise Ratios) in every pair of antennas that constitute a pair of STTDs(Space Time Transmit Diversity) transmittable from a transmission stage(S10). The reception stage selects a pair of antennas having the highest SINR(S11). The reception stage feeds back the information on the selected pair of antennas to the transmission stage together with an MCS(Modulation and Coding Set)(S12). The transmission stage performs D(Double)-STTD transmission through the pair of antennas determined according to the MCS and the feedback information from the reception stage(S13).
