PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draw-down chuck that does not make a head end of a whirl-stop member and a side surface of a whirl-stop groove contact with each other on a line. SOLUTION: Either one of the side surfaces 18a (18b) of the whirl-stop groove 18 and either one of surfaces 17a (17b) of a head end of the whirl-stop member 15 make contact with each other on faces when a draw-bar 8 revolves around an inclined axis by freely revolvably fitting and inserting the whirl-stop member 15 provided with a pair of opposed surfaces 17 on its head end in a mounting hole 14 opened on a guide hole 7 provided on a chuck body 2 and making the head end engaged with the whirl-stop groove 18 formed on an outer peripheral surface of the draw-bar 8 freely slidably fitted and inserted into the guide hole 7.
