An apparatus and a method for compensating for a bad nozzle are provided to prevent deterioration of a screen quality by rearranging half-toned data. An apparatus for compensating for a bad nozzle includes a bad nozzle position setting section(300), a data storage section(310), a correlation calculation section(320), and a printing section(330). The correlation calculating section outputs information on the movement position generating the highest correlation. The printing section performs printing by locating a print head to the movement position having the highest correlation on the basis of the movement position information provided from the correlation calculating section.
