In one embodiment, the invention regards a method for providing formatted print pages of electronic material in response to a request initiated by a user. At step S102, a web site visitor initiates a request for a printed bound copy of an e-doc. After the user initiates the order, the user specifies order information and places the order at step S104. Thereafter, in step S105, the ordering information is transmitted to a processing station. Using appropriate software, via manual, semi-automatic, or wholly automatic means, adjustments to the electronic version of the document are made as appropriate and necessary to prepare a version suitable for imposition at step S108. Then he electronic version is imposed at step S110, and the electronic version suitable for printing is stored for reuse at the step S112.
