PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of providing wide feeling to eyes of a user, and having a door shelf for storage of excellent taking-out performance capable of using effectively an inside of a partitioned chamber, as to the inside of the chamber partitioned laterally by a partitioning wall. SOLUTION: The first partitioning wall 106 is provided along a depth direction with a prescribed space 112 in a rear part of an conformed part in two doors of drawing-out type doors 109 opened and closed by laterally dividing a front opening part of an upper section 104 or hinged opening and closing type doors 110, so as to partition a storage chamber into lateral areas of a left side area 107 and a right side area 108, the door shelf 113 for the storage is provided in at least one door 109 of the areas in the space 112, the first partitioning wall 106 is thereby not extended up to a front opening part, an oppressive sensation and repressed feeling are eliminated thereby, the left and right areas are communicated visually via the space 112 to bring the wide feeling, and the space 112 can store thereby many foods effectively.
