<p>A CDMA mobile communication terminal turbo decoding system, a transmission power control method and a CDMA mobile communication terminal wherein the transmission power of a base station is suppressed such that it does not go beyond a necessary level, thereby suppressing the interference with other users and preventing the turbo decoding part from performing an excessive repetitive process so as to reduce the current consumption. There are included a BLER measuring part (10) that measures, by use of a CRC determination result after an error correction done by a turbo decoding part (4), the BLER as a reception quality every number of decoded bits; and an outer-loop power control and iteration control part (11) that performs, based on the reception quality measured every number of decoded bits, both the control of the transmission power of a base station and the control of the number of iterations of the turbo decoding. The outer-loop power control and iteration control part (11) outputs a target SIR in accordance with the reception quality, and controls the transmission power of the base station such that the SIR of a received signal is equal to the target SIR, while adaptively controlling, based on the convergence state of the outer-loop transmission power control, the number of iterations such that it becomes an optimum number.</p> |
