PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detection device capable of precisely detecting the open fault of the liquid level detection thermistor. SOLUTION: A current path ranging from the 1st DC power source 100 to the thermistor 101 is provided with the switching means 104. In the case the thermistor 101 is disconnected, the voltage detection circuit 111 is made to detect the disconnection of the thermistor 101 after the time point when at least once of ON interval and OFF interval of the switching means 108 have passed. The highly precise detection of disconnection becomes possible by detecting the voltage in the ON interval and in the OFF interval. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
