PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a car-mounted apparatus installed in the condition close to a windshield effectively against heat detriment as well during the engine being in operation as at a standstill. SOLUTION: The upper part of the inner surface of the windshield 50 is subjected to a heat insulating process using a heat insulating member 70 consisting of a ceramic material. The heat rays T from solar beams incident to the upper part of the windshield 50 are reflected by the heat insulating member 70, so that a car-mounted camera 100 confronting the upper back face of the windshield 50 can be protected effectively against heat detriment even in case the vehicle is left under the blazing sun.
