A backlight module is provided to remove a dark region between light sources, thereby distributing the lights, which are emitted from light sources, more effectively, by using a plurality of light guiding units formed on both sides of an optical plate. A backlight module is installed between light sources of an LCD and an optical sheet. The backlight module includes an optical plate(60) and a plurality of light guiding units(61) formed on both sides of the optical plate. The light guiding units are formed correspondingly to respective light sources and the optical sheet. The light guiding units are protruded from or caved in the optical plate with different densities, angles, and depths. The lights emitted from the light sources are diffused by the light guiding units at least two times before entering the optical sheet, thereby distributing lights more effectively. |
