<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a vehicle with which generation of excess voltage can be avoided speedily, and to provide the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The controller of the vehicle is provided with a motor that drives wheels, an inverter driving the motor and a boosting converter supplying DC power voltage to the inverter. The controller is also provided with a control unit switching rectangular wave control and non-rectangular wave control, with respect to the inverter. The control unit has one urgent switching condition from rectangular wave control to overmodulation control, according to the current flowing to the motor from the inverter as one criterion. When the urgent switching condition is realized, while rectangular wave control is performed ("YES" in step S5), an instruction for dropping target output voltage is given to the boosting converter (S7). It is desirable that the control unit decide that the urgent switching condition has been established, when q-axis current, supplied from the inverter to the motor, exceeds a prescribed threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
