PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake capable of carrying out stable load transmission between one ends of a pair of brake shoes via a gap adjusting device. SOLUTION: Since at least one engagement protrusion 98 of engagement protrusions 96 and 98 respectively protrudedly provided on the one ends of the pair of brake shoes 16, 18 is press-molded into a cross-sectional protruding shape for filling a space between the engagement protrusion 98 and an engagement hole 94 in a thickness direction of the engagement protrusion 98, and backlash in the thickness direction of the engagement protrusion 98 protrudedly provided on the one end of the brake shoe 18 is suitably suppressed, the stable load transmission between the one ends of the pair of brake shoes 16, 18 via the gap adjusting device is made possible.
