PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for enabling a user to easily read a message by changing the font size of the message in a mobile communication terminal.

SOLUTION: The method for enlarging a message in the mobile communication terminal includes: a step for deciding in inputting the message whether or not an input font size change mode is selected; a step for displaying an enlarged input window into an input window for general messages when the input font size change mode is selected; and a step for inputting a message into the enlarged input window.
