<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchoring apparatus built in the terminal connector of an optical fiber in an optical cable with a loose tube type unit. <P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber anchoring apparatus 30 of the optical cable with a loose tube type unit is provided with a tube-like hot-melt adhesive 31, a tube-like heat shrinkable tube 33, and a rod-like support 32. The hot-melt adhesive is inserted into the hollow part of the heat shrinkable tube, with one end of the rod-like support arranged in the hollow part or a solid part and an outer circumferential part of the hot-melt adhesive. An optical fiber is inserted into the hollow part of the hot-melt adhesive and the adhesive is made to melt by heating, and the heat shrinkable tube is made to shrink. Thus, an optical fiber anchoring part 30a is formed on the extension of the optical cable axial line as an integrated structure with one end of the rod-like support and the optical fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
