A master cylinder for improving durability of a piston seal is provided to prevent leakage of oil caused by continuous abrasion of a contact surface between the piston chamber and an oil inlet port. A master cylinder for improving durability of a piston seal includes a main body(14) comprising an oil hole(11), a piston(12) having a first gear unit(12a), and a push rod(13) having a second gear unit(13a). The push rod includes a guide groove(20) having a spiral form. A wedge(30) moving along the groove is formed in the main body to enable rotation of the push rod. First and second springs(41,42) are formed between the piston and the wedge and between the push rod and the wedge, respectively, for a compressing operation. The first spring has a spring constant greater than the second spring.
