METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUGOOK TEA

A method for making hydrangea tea is provided to allow the horny texture and wax portion of hydrangea leaves with no need for an additional fermentation step, and to simplify the overall process for making hydrangea tea. The method for making hydrangea tea comprises the steps of: collecting hydrangea leaves and washing the hydrangea leaves; drying the washed hydrangea leaves to a water content corresponding to 50-80% of the water content of the hydrangea leaves before washing; rubbing the dried leaves; and freeze-drying the rubbed hydrangea leaves to break the wax portion and horny texture of the hydrangea leaves. The freeze-drying step is carried out at a temperature of -50 to -5 deg.C for 5-24 hours.
