A bearing unit and a guide roller using the bearing unit are provided to be smoothly rotated and to be endured for a long time even when the load in a direction inclined with respect to a rotational shaft is applied. In a bearing unit, a retainer and a power transferring rolling member support the surface of an inner ring in an allowable range. A roller member is supported so as to be axially moved with respect to a retainer. The inner peripheral surface of an outer ring(10) has a roller member power transferring recess. Gaps are formed between the outer ring, the roller member power transferring recess, and an inner ring. The axis line of the outer ring and the axis line of the inner ring are relatively inclined.
