<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument wherein the projected distal end of a writing element from the distal end of the writing instrument does not return into the writing instrument when the writing instrument is used under a writing state, and the writing element automatically disappears into the writing instrument when the writing instrument is laid. <P>SOLUTION: This writing instrument A makes the distal end of the writing element 2 protrude from the distal end of the writing instrument main body 1 by depressing a knocker 4. The writing instrument A is equipped with an automatic returning mechanism B which makes the knocker 4 automatically return, and makes the distal end of the writing element 2 sink into the writing instrument main body 1. The automatic returning mechanism B is equipped with an operating shaft 10 equipped with an engaging section 12 which is engaged with/disengaged from the knocker 4, a bendably joint member 6 which is provided on the rear end of the operating shaft 10, and a weight member 8 which is connected with the joint member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
