PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generally treating a nutrition-supplementing substance, especially a method for treating a raw animal raw material, a method for drying the food raw material, while maintaining the nutrients. SOLUTION: This method of drying a food raw material in a drying apparatus includes a step of spray drying a first raw material having relatively high moisture content, and immediately after the spray drying, the first raw material having relatively high moisture content is subjected to rotary drying; and a second raw material having relatively low moisture content is directly subjected to the rotary drying together with the first raw material having relatively high moisture content.
