<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide heavy weight aggregate having no problem on supply of material and on quality and a heavy concrete using the same, and manufacturing methods thereof. <P>SOLUTION: This aggregate is formed by blending an iron-based material having a density of 3.5 g/cm<SP>3</SP>or higher, cement and water, and forming into concrete, or crushing the concrete solidified body after forming. This heavy weight aggregate, for which the material is easily available, which is little in dispersions of aggregate density, grain size and contained impurities, realizes a prescribed high density, and has good quality. This heavy concrete is formed by blending this heavy weight aggregate, the cement and water.
