<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which such a failure is prevented that the periphery of an opening of a front panel rubs against the surface of an optical filter to damage the surface of the optical filter and generate powder and the failure can be made invisible even when generated. <P>SOLUTION: A front face part holding member 8, which is provided with a front face pressing part 8b bent to have an almost U-like shape for pressing the periphery of the front face part of the optical filter 3, a supporting part 8c for receiving the inner wall surface of the front panel 2 and an upper surface pressing part 8d for pressing the end face of the optical filter 3, is arranged on the inner wall surface of the front panel 2. A bent part to be bent toward the periphery of the opening of the front panel 2 is formed so that the tip of the bent part is positioned on the front face side while leaving a fixed distance from the position of the front face pressing part 8b.
