<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input device, enabling correction to a desired character or a character string with a simple operation when character conversion is incorrect. <P>SOLUTION: When a recognition result is different, by indicating a character string to be corrected by use of an integrated display tablet 1, a controller 2 reads in character segment information, recognition result and coordinate information from a recognition result storage 5, groups by making each segment pattern, excluding the segment pattern of the character string to be corrected, as a representative candidate. The controller 2 then displays a list of candidate character string of the character string to be corrected, a representative candidate of each group of the recognition candidate, and a display button of the candidate character string corresponding to the representative candidate of each group, on a predetermined position of the integrated display tablet 1, as a candidate selection screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
