DETECTING DEVICE FOR TRAIN PASSAGE AT RAILROAD CROSSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting device for train passage at a railroad crossing, capable of promptly detecting that a tail end of a train finishes passing through a railroad cross. SOLUTION: This detecting device for train passage at the railroad crossing is provided with a single noncontact sensor 1 arranged along a rail 3 and detecting an object passing in front of the noncontact sensor 1 and with a self-diagnosis means determining train passage at the railroad crossing based on an output state of the noncontact sensor 1 and an end point condition.
