PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry type separation apparatus capable of performing a continuous separation operation, continuously taking out a sediment and a floating substance, recovering the sediment and the floating substance at a high recovery ratio and certainly separating and recovering an object to be separated containing the substances having different specific gravities according to the specific gravities. SOLUTION: The dry type separation apparatus 100 is constituted by a separation tank 1; a powder feeding hopper 2 for feeding the powder in order to form a fluidized bed 10 in the separation tank 1; an object to be separated feeding hopper 3 for feeding the object W to be separated to the fluidized bed 10; an air box 5 for feeding a gas from below a ventilation plate 1a forming a bottom surface of the separation tank into the separation tank 1 through the ventilation plate 1a to fluidize the powder; and a stirring apparatus 60 as an object to be separated stirring means for stirring the floating object W to be separated.
